Gafi Network Roundup: The 2nd Milestone
This is the next heartfelt letter confiding the Gafi Network Roundup's Second Milestone and honoring the Web3 Foundation Grants Program.
Milestone 1 Roundup Recap
The first milestone of the Gafi Network Roundup had been completed. Milestone 1 explained to the player (end-user) and game creator (developer) how Gafi Network eliminated the constraints that current blockchain games faced, such as the cost of operating, network security, transaction fees, and scalability.
Deeply, it had been done. Furthermore, it was like a bolt of lightning that struck the night forest, and from that, it sparked the wildfire leading to a series of extraordinary events. And surely, one of our next events is “The second Milestone Gafi Network Roundup”.
Some Brief About W3F Grants Program
Web3 Foundation was established by Dr. Gavin Wood with the purpose of funding research and development teams who are constructing the underpinning of the decentralized web. They performed an excellent job of supporting the team’s desire for funding as well as the technical help that the entire team needed.
As the truth of the sun rises in the East, this is the ideal ecosystem for all developers. From the Parity technologies to Web3 Foundation Grants to the ‘no delay helping’ Substrate on StackExchange that assisted us in completing the first milestone in less than one month from the initial development plan.
Even without numbers, we still want to thank Dr. Gavin and the entire Parity and Web3 Foundation team.
Gafi Network - The Network of Game Finance
As we probably know already, this is the decentralized blockchain platform designed for blockchain gaming and high-frequency apps. Games running on top of the Gafi Network are unconcerned about security, transaction fees, fraudulent accounts, and a variety of other negative concerns. They just need to focus their attention on gaming, game experience, or application logic.
The Gafi Network supports EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), which allows projects to migrate from Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain to the Gafi Network with little or no modification.

Gafi Development Roadmap
Phase I: Free to play
Until July 2022, we would really like to complete the first phase of the Gafi Network Development Map, the Free to Play, in the coming months with the help of the Web3 Foundation Grants Program.
And now, we are currently working on Phase I. The goal of this phase is to show players and developers how Gafi handles the most common difficulties in today’s gaming platforms, such as:
Transaction fees
Ghost chain — a lack of intensity for developers and gamers
Network security
Scalability.
When Phase I was completed, it would seem as though a tsunami had finally slammed into the coast after many years of tranquility. All impediments contaminating gaming platforms could be resolved.
Overview The Second Milestone
Frankly, an idea is always the combination of many other ideas that precede it, and we come up with new things based on the theoretical foundation and technology that we already have, by gathering up things here and there and patching them up together.
Following that, we attempted to get the support of the Substrate Builder Program in order to enter the second phase, the Battle. During this phase, we are attempting to prepare everything for deployment in the battle.
Purpose Of The Second Milestone
The goal of this milestone is to upgrade the most important feature that Gafi offers to players and developers — Sponsored-Pool, and build the Gafi-TX.
The second milestone was completed in less than 3 months, with approximately 40.000 lines of code, and 6 individuals as pillars of the team.
What did Gafi achieve in the second milestone?
There are 2 key unique features that we have achieved: Sponsored Pool and Gafi-TX
1. Sponsored Pool
This feature is the main service Gafi offers. Gafi Pool provides the Sponsored Pool to provide gamers with other ways to join the Gafi Network. It assists gaming projects in creating their own pool and appealing to its gamers.
The notion of Upfront Pool and Staking Pool differs from Sponsored Pool in that those systems are system-owned pools, whereas a Sponsored Pool is owned by those who founded it.
If a gaming project wants to assist its players with the Gafi Network transaction fees, the game project must create a Sponsored Pool and specify the pool values:
Discount: Discount on the transaction fees.
Transaction Limit: Number of discounted transactions in 30 minutes
Pool Reserve: The balance of The pool
When their players join the pool, they can make the transaction using the project’s smart contract so that the players’ transaction fees are subsidized by the game project.
As a player, when joining Sponsored Pool, you must deploy the correct smart-contract addresses (on the whitelist) and make sure the “Pool Reserve” balance is not too low in order to get the transaction fee reduction.
2. Gafi-TX
According to the principle “Excess of anything is poison”, Gafi TX takes the role of a custodian in charge of keeping the Gafi Network balanced.
The Gafi Pool provides extensive features to participants and the gaming projects. The Gafi TX will keep that generosity in check. Without Gafi TX, the Gafi Network may be vulnerable to assaults on network security and token economy.
Gafi TX’s primary functions comprise:
Control transaction traffic
Handler EVM gas price
Distribute fee rewards to the Game creator
Finally, because the Gafi Network is a Proof-of-Stake network, its fate is entirely in the hands of the community.
What Is The Significance Of Milestone 2?
The rock-solid foundation of Milestone 1 just assists Milestone 2 in unlocking two key distinctive features that distinguish Gafi, the “Free to Play trend” and “Developer Onchain Reward”.
It is clear that the magnitude brought by Milestone 2 for Gafi was absolutely marvelous, it would take us an article 3 times longer than this one just to catalogue all of them.
What Tends To Come Next?
Milestone 3
The advancement and prosperity of Milestone 1 and Milestone 2 do not put an end to our dream, and the legacy that they left behind still contributes to the birth of our next milestones.
We are also developing a plan for Milestone 3. The next milestone is to complete Phase II, which will comprise the final test and bid for the Kusama Parachain slot, in collaboration with Polkadot ecosystem projects. We calculated a three-month timeframe for this milestone.
Some features:
Gafi Governance — Bring Gafi to a fully decentralized platform
Game Creator — Allow developers to claim Onchain Reward
Gafi Testnet Program — Open Gafi Testnet Program
Conclusion
The grant supported by the Web3 Foundation will provide extra incentive and resources to the Gafi team, in the path of constructing a genuinely decentralized blockchain platform and introducing Web3 to the world.
